Oki-do Yoga was developed by Dr. Masahiro Oki, who devoted his life to others through his work as a teacher, healer and writer. Okido uses a variety of traditional yoga asanas, yet focuses on core stabilization and whole body strengthening by incorporating Japanese self-defense into the practice. The poses are done in a repetitive format to help develop a strong core and to re-balance the body’s natural posture by using one’s own self awareness.
A unique part of this style of yoga is the work that is done with partners to help increase strength, flexibility and communication in a fun and challenging environment.
